Today was the annual Field Day Outing. It is an annual event to get members together to socialize and shoot and bring in nonmembers who might be interested in learning more about the Black River Rod & Gun Club, more about shooting, and try out some different guns.
The weather was sunny and hot, and when there was a breeze it was tolerable. As always, the food was delicious, and there was plenty to go around. There were the hotdogs, hamburgers, and corn on the cob cooked on the grill by Nils and his crew, and a wide variety of salads and desserts made by the members and their families. There was a 50/50 raffle and a few donated raffle prizes. Everything ran smoothly and everyone had a great time!

More newcomers learning the sport, and they took an application and are planning on joining the club.
We really did have quite a few new people try out this sport today.
All in all, it was a great day for everyone. Time to start planning next year's event.
